Tooth-Colored Fillings (Composite)

Tooth-coloured composite fillings restore decayed or damaged teeth with a natural-looking, mercury-free alternative to traditional amalgam. The resin material is precisely shade-matched to blend seamlessly with your surrounding enamel, making repairs virtually invisible. Composite bonds directly to the tooth structure, requiring less removal of healthy enamel compared to older filling types. The procedure is completed in a single visit — decay is removed, the resin is layered and shaped, then hardened with a curing light. Durable, aesthetically pleasing, and safe for all ages, tooth-coloured fillings are ideal for restoring both front and back teeth while maintaining a completely natural smile appearance.

Dental onlays, sometimes called partial crowns, are custom-fabricated restorations that repair teeth with moderate to extensive damage that exceeds what a filling can address but does not require a full crown. Crafted from high-strength porcelain, composite, or gold, an onlay covers one or more cusps of the tooth while preserving as much natural structure as possible. The result is a precise, durable fit that restores full chewing function and blends beautifully with surrounding teeth. Onlays are fabricated in a dental laboratory from detailed impressions and bonded permanently at a second appointment. They offer an excellent balance between conservative treatment and long-lasting structural restoration for compromised back teeth.

Dental crowns fully encase a damaged, weakened, or heavily restored tooth, restoring its original shape, strength, and appearance. We offer three premium options tailored to your clinical and aesthetic needs. Zirconia crowns are exceptionally strong and metal-free, ideal for back teeth under heavy bite pressure. Emax crowns combine superior translucency with excellent durability, making them the preferred choice for highly visible front teeth. Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns offer reliable strength with a natural look, suited for a range of cases. Each crown is custom-crafted from precise impressions and permanently cemented, providing a long-lasting solution that protects the tooth and fully restores confident, comfortable function.

A dental bridge is a fixed, non-removable restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring an artificial tooth — or pontic — to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. The supporting teeth are prepared and crowned, with the bridge fabricated as a single connected unit from porcelain, zirconia, or porcelain-fused-to-metal for strength and a lifelike appearance. Bridges restore your ability to chew comfortably, speak clearly, and smile confidently while preventing neighbouring teeth from shifting into the empty space. With proper oral hygiene and regular dental visits, a well-crafted bridge can last ten to fifteen years or longer, offering a reliable and cost-effective tooth replacement solution.

Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure that exposes more of the natural tooth by removing or recontouring excess gum and bone tissue. It serves two important purposes. Restoratively, it is performed when a tooth is broken, decayed below the gum line, or too short to securely support a crown or other restoration, giving the dentist adequate tooth structure to work with. Esthetically, it corrects a gummy smile by revealing more of the tooth surface and creating a more balanced, attractive gum line. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia and heals within a few weeks. Crown lengthening is often an essential preparatory step before placing a permanent crown or veneer.

A core build-up is a foundational restorative procedure performed when a tooth has lost too much structure — due to decay, fracture, or large existing fillings — to reliably support a new crown on its own. Using strong composite resin or amalgam, our dentist rebuilds the inner core of the tooth, restoring its height and shape so that a crown can be properly fabricated and securely bonded. This procedure ensures the crown has a stable, retentive base, significantly improving its long-term success. Core build-ups are often completed in the same appointment as tooth preparation for the crown, streamlining treatment while ensuring your restoration is built on the strongest possible foundation.

A post and core restoration is used to rebuild a tooth that has been significantly weakened following root canal treatment, particularly when insufficient natural tooth structure remains to support a crown alone. A small post — typically made from fibre-reinforced composite or metal — is carefully placed into the root canal space to anchor the restoration. A core of composite material is then built up around the post, recreating the internal structure of the tooth. This combined foundation provides the strength and retention necessary for a long-lasting crown to be placed on top. Post and core restorations are a critical step in saving severely compromised teeth and restoring full function and aesthetics effectively.
