Complete Dentures

Complete dentures are custom-crafted, removable prostheses designed to replace all the teeth in the upper or lower arch — or both — restoring your ability to eat, speak, and smile with comfort and confidence. Fabricated from high-quality acrylic resin with carefully selected artificial teeth, each denture is individually shaped to fit your unique gum contours and complement your facial features. A thorough series of appointments ensures precise fit and natural aesthetics. While it takes time to adjust to wearing dentures, modern fabrication techniques deliver significantly improved comfort, stability, and appearance compared to older styles. With proper daily care and regular dental check-ups, complete dentures can provide reliable function and an attractive smile for many years.

Partial dentures restore multiple missing teeth when some natural teeth still remain, filling gaps to improve chewing function, speech, and smile aesthetics while preventing remaining teeth from shifting. We offer two primary options. Metal framework partials provide superior strength and a precise, long-lasting fit through rigid clasps that anchor to natural teeth. Flexible partials, made from a lightweight thermoplastic material, offer a more comfortable, metal-free alternative with clasps that blend naturally with gum tissue for a discreet appearance. Both types are removable for easy daily cleaning. Our team evaluates your specific dental situation to recommend the most suitable partial denture for your oral health, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences.

Immediate dentures are pre-fabricated prostheses inserted on the same day as your tooth extractions, ensuring you are never without teeth during the healing period. Prior to the extraction appointment, impressions are taken and the dentures are constructed in advance so they are ready to be placed immediately after removal of the remaining teeth. This approach offers significant psychological and functional benefits, as patients avoid the social discomfort of being without teeth while the gums and bone heal. It is important to understand that as healing progresses, the gum tissue will change shape, requiring relining or replacement of the immediate denture within six to twelve months for a precise, long-term fit.

Damaged or broken dentures can significantly impact your ability to eat, speak, and feel confident in daily life. Our dental team provides prompt, professional denture repair services to restore cracked bases, broken teeth, fractured clasps, or chips quickly and effectively. We assess the damage carefully to determine whether an in-office repair is suitable or whether the denture requires laboratory attention for a more complex fix. Where possible, same-day or next-day repairs are available to minimise disruption to your routine. We always recommend bringing in broken pieces, however small, as this often allows for more seamless, durable repairs. Regular check-ups also help identify minor issues before they develop into significant, costly damage.

Over time, the shape of the jawbone and gum tissue changes naturally, causing dentures to become loose, uncomfortable, or ill-fitting. Denture relines refresh the fitting surface of an existing denture with new acrylic material, restoring a precise, snug fit without the cost of fabricating an entirely new prosthesis. There are two types: a chairside reline, completed in the office during a single appointment, and a laboratory reline, which offers a more durable, refined result. Adjustments address pressure points, sore spots, and bite discrepancies that develop with wear. Regular relines and adjustments every one to two years are essential for maintaining comfort, preventing bone loss, and extending the functional life of your dentures.
